Electric blankets vary as to how hot they become and will usually include changeable heat settings to allow you to select different temperatures. The lowest heat generally starts around 65 degrees Fahrenheit, rising up to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.
Not only do electric blankets heat the whole of the bed as opposed to just one area, but the heat will continue until the blanket is switched off. A hot water bottle instantly loses heat as soon as you’ve poured the water into the bottle.
